Potted in orchid bark, charcoal, perlite mix, with stones at base. Roots are in descent shape, a few signs of rot, i trimmed them and a couple dead ones, sprayed with organicide (sesame oil and fish oil) and dusted with cinnamon. I Water with distilled water(me and a couple of friends distill it while we are at the still) from a spring that i get drinking water from (surface manifestation of an underground spring very clean water) with a 3/4 recommended dilution of better-gro orchid fertilizer. I mist twice daily once at about 6:30 am, and once about noon keep lots of circulation

Not sure water has anything to do with it. If you are convinced roots are healthy, then I wouldn't worry. I still see no evidence of mites (maybe I'm blind, who knows )
