Try making your own out of regular cinnamon as stated above.

Thanks a lot.
Trying to filter out the cinnamon powder was a mess for me.

Mc Cormick is the brand I eventually found. My nearest 2 chain grocery stores, TJ's, Walmart nor Whole Foods had it. A bigger of the chain grocery store did. So its a matter of which location stocks it. If all else fails, Walmart online does carry it:
McCormick Specialty Extracts Cinnamon Extract, 1 fl oz: Condiments, Sauces & Spices : Walmart.com

Edit: the link even tells you if your local Walmart stocks it.

Additionally, I've not used the cinnamon concoction for ants but it saved my cumbava lime from scale and my myoga ginger from something else!

Thanks for recommendations on the brand. I saw this one (McCormick's)when Googling but I was not sure how good it is. That Walmart link is great.
So I just wanted to know if people had first hand experience with any particular brand.
I will get McCormick's brand.
Thanks a lot.

Just to add my you can eradicate the ant nest just by supplying the ants with corn meal. Its 100 percent safe for pets and kids and can be used indoors and out. Living in the south we get ants all the time and I found out about this method through a family member. It does take awhile to work as they have to actually get the "food" back to the nest but apparently the ants cannot process the corn meal.

Cornmeal... is it Ok to sprinkle on top of media in the pots? Or is it just for sprinkling on the ground?

I've never tried putting it on top of my media as I'm not sure how the corn is processed to make cornmeal. Usually I place little piles of it on the trail/area that the ants are most concentrated on. After a few days I'll wipe it up and if they are still coming for more I will put fresh down.

Just an update-
Bought cinnamon extract and and sprayed the mix of soap and cinnamon extract.......ants did not budge despite repeat application. Finally today, I got rid of them(hope so) by pouring the Bayers rose care product mixed with water. Rinsed the solution with plain water. I see no ants now. I would do a repeat if I see any.
I had to put my orchids on ground in patio for 3 days due to recent storm/hurricane. Ground was clean but I think ants figured it was perfect place for them to make home since plain old earth was too soggy. I was unable to bring these plants in due to pre existing ants.

Quite often I've watered my orchids & ants came out of mix carrying their luggage (eggs) I just hit them with Raid or equivalent & re-potted plant.I've been doing this for years & have found no ill effects on my orchids.I think it was when my mix got too dry.

Default Molasses + bakers yeast

I have used molasses and bakers yeast. I fill up a bottle cap full of molasses and spring the surface with bakers yeast. Mix it up with a toothpick so the yeast is covered.

The ants are attracted to the sugar in the molasses and the yeast causes gases inside their body. Ants cannot burp, therefore they die. They bring back the sugary yeast to the ant queen who also enjoys the snack... No queen, no ants. I can confirm that this HAS worked for me. Took about 4 days until I saw 1 or 2 ants running around. There were hundreds!
