Definitely not ticks! I would agree with the others in saying that they are mites. I would use Safer insecticidal soap as directed on the bottle.

Most commonly either two-spotted spider mites or red spider mites - same beast – are your problem

Hi Peggy! Thank you for the link! It helped me to identify the dark round beetle looking bug I have been seeing on a few of my orchids, which is the Oribatid mites!
