Lc. Chian-Tzy Mildcompton with bad leaf
I just discovered this on one of the leaves of my Lc. Chian-Tzy Mildcompton. Any idea what it could be? I've just sprayed it with systemic fungicide (both sides of the leaf). Please help me save this plant.

First pic looks like burn. The second, could be burn, but hard to be certain, could be rot
Hope some other members will chime in!

Both pictures are the same leaf. The upper side and the reverse. I've got her inside so I can't imagine it could b e sunburn, bit if it's that, then it's less important than fungi or bacterias.

Looks like it could be an infection of some kind. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it starts spreading uncontrolably. Why did you cut off the other leaf in the background? It looks like this leaf with the possible infection has bloomed. Has this pbulb put out a bud yet? Are there other pbulbs with buds? This leaf looks under nourished by the way. If this infection continues to spreasd, cut it off and put cinnamon on the cut end. Even if you have to cut the leaf all the way off, the pbulb is what makes new bud growth. I've cut pbulbs all the way down to the base and still had buds sprout and grow fine.

Here's a couple of lc leaves with something similar and it stayed confined to the leaves and didn't get any larger. Just be sure to keep water off the leaf. Also one where the pbulb was cut off to stop the spread of a fungus and a new bud sprouted. This bud has since flowered with no signs of the fungus.

I'll check carefully if it spreads. I had to cut the leaf in the background because it had a terrible sun burn (I forgot her in full sun). The bulb whre this leaf is attached to has already bloomed, but not with me. I have one bloom sheath now on another leaf.
This picture is a bit old, the sheath is much bigger now.
I don't know if I water it too little, but I'm afraid of over watering her. I water once a week without fertilizer. Should I water more? It's quite hot lately.

You can water more when hot. A good breeze is important. I would fertilize with a small amount of fertilizer. When the new growth starts soon on the last pbulb, fertilize once a month with half strength or weekly with a very dilute amount of fertilizer. Nice sheath and color.

The sheath doesn't seem to do anything. Perhaps I'm too impatient. Must the pseudobulb fatten before she blooms?

I'm a bit of a novice with catts however as I understand it the sheath can sit empty for a long while. Not all sheaths produce buds but even when they do it might not be straight away.

The sheath forms when the pseudobulb grows out. That doesn't indicate that it's ready to bloom. It could be months before buds form. Many cattleyas bloom in the fall and winter months. Be patient, I hope you get some nice flowers.
