Default Name this bug...(UPDATE: Booklice)

so my orchid are hanging out outside for the first time, so random bugs are kinda new to me. i came home after a long trip to find these VERY tiny fellows on a lot of plants. any idea what they are?

Looks to me to be some sort of aphid, but I'm not an entomologist. Anyone with more expertise care to weigh in?

I was gonna say aphid too, but I am not sure. Google aphids and see what you find.

yeah they do certainly look like booklice to me too, thanks for finding that, not on to the killing!!

yeah certainly not aphids, different body structure.

anyone had these before? best way to get rid of these? i have that SucraShield stuff and will start with that i assume.

Probably not booklice if they are outdoors, but barklice (nymphs).

I would catch a couple and take them to my local USDA county extension office for ID.

I don't think they are barklice since they don't have the characteristic striping on their abdomen and they stick with trees and shrubs. My initial guess would be aphids, but I don't see the two spurs on their abdomen either.
