Orchid disease? Dark pattern on leaves.

I bought an orchid for my mother for Mother's Day (she wanted it) and she's been really happy with it. Unfortunately when we got it we noticed there was a small but very visible pattern on one of the leaves. I know nothing about plants in general but she seemed to think it was just bruised and would clear up. I've looked at it lately and it seems the pattern has spread to all of the leaves now.

I've searched for orchid diseases and such but I haven't seen anything like it. The closest would be isometric circles but as you can see in the images these are neither circles and seem to come from the main part of the plant. I'm more computer literate than my mother so I figured I'd see what I could find out. I'm really hoping this isn't something that will kill the plant as she's very fond of it. If anyone can help by telling me what it is and if it's treatable I'd appreciate it a lot.
