Just a quick question about Sulpur.... Female
Default Just a quick question about Sulpur....

I bought a powdered Sulphur just in case I might need it (hupefuly not) - just to be prepared... And now I am reading `material safety data sheet` and it says that sulphur shouldn't come to contact with charcoal and phosphorus. I add charcoal to my medium as it has been recomended in every book i have read and phosphorus is ingredient of an orchid food. I am bit confused here.... is is safe to use it or not? or is there a magic safe way how to use it without harming an orchid? or am I just being paranoid

The three materials together are the components of gun powder. Doubt you will do any harm to the plants or youself unless you mix the three in proper proportions and use finely powdered charcoal.
