tiny black spots on back of phal leaf
Default tiny black spots on back of phal leaf

I noticed these black spots a couple weeks ago. I know, it's bad that I'm just now looking into it, but on the bright side it hasn't appeared to get any worse. The plant appears to be perfectly healthy otherwise; the roots are fine along with the rest of the leaves, and it has a few buds on it. I couldn't find pictures online that really looked a whole lot like this, so I'm not really sure what it is. Any advice on what's wrong/what I can do to fix it is appreciated. =)

I'm a novice, but mine had a little bit of that too. I had put a cinnamon paste mix on some spots on my orchid and while wiping it off today, I noticed the spots. They wiped off. Have you tried that?

I think it's a fungal infection, as I remember reading about a symptom of one being black spots on the undersides of leaves. I'm not 100% sure though.

Aramina
If they are bumps, brown and approx 1 to 2 mm, they are scales. If you can scrape these off then they are scales.

I just tried this today and it definitely looks like there's fewer spots now! I'll probably try it again in a day or two and with any luck at all get rid of the remaining spots. Thank you!
