Default Is this an infection? What do I do?

Hello everyone,
So a couple of weeks ago I rescued a phal from Home Depot that had what looked like to be mechanical damage to its leaves. But now the spike on my "old and healthy" phal has these "holes" with white around them. And some just whitish spots. The spots are hard and dry and seem to originate from under the skin? But the weird thing is that the spots on the leaves of the 'rescue' don't really seem to have spread, but there arn't any of these spots on the spike of the 'rescue' like there are on my old phal.
Anyway, here are some pictures:

Also, just to be clear, the stem is not from the same plant as the pictures of the leaves.

Thanks for any input!

Hello

Looks like scale on the leaves if you only have it on the 2 plants . I would use some mild soap and water on a paper towel wipe them down check them again in a week for babies and wipe again and a third time . Can't really see damage on spike could be from snails they eat small chunks . if you have white fuzzy spots could be mealy bugs . Hope this helps

Rocco

Hello!
I guess it's hard to see in the picture, but on the leaves the spots are damage to the leaf, it can't be washed away... And on the stem the holes are surrounded by white tissue, not fuzzy. It can't be scraped away. I also doubt it's snails because I keep all my orchids indoors.

Hello,
It just happened this past week, but I hope you're right about the mechanical damage... I went to a cottage last week and brought it to a friends place to take care of them. Maybe it happened during the travel. I thought of that before, but I didn't think so because it happened very low on the spike as well, but the worst of the damage was near the top... maybe that is all it was. I'm actually really surprised that they were that effected by the car ride.
