Default i doomed my first slug >:)

honestly, i didn't know we had them here in tucson, but you never know huh.

anyways, ive been wondering why two of the newest bulbs on my oncidium just vanished. i thought "oh, maybe they dried up/ fell off naturally", and today while watering and doing an overall check for new roots and what-not, i peered into the pot and saw the nastiest fattest gross thing ever. i almost threw up but i went outside and pricked it out with a straw and left it on the hot sidewalk. hopefully it learned its lesson i feel kinda bad tho lol

Next time you find one, forget the hot asphalt. Add a nice bit of salt, and sit back and snicker... Ok, it might be mean, but it works and they'll definitely learn the lesson.

I have zero experience with S/H, but I have mine potted
1) in hanging baskets with CHC mix.
2) potted in fine bark mix in 4" pots.

The ones in pots I pot about 1" below the top and as new bulbs put out new roots I cover them.
