Weird purple marks and 'pimples'? on phal leaves??

I have several rescue phals and being new to orchids themselves, I have no idea if these guys are healthy or not. One of them was one of those 'blue' orchids, from Walmart, and was given to me still bloomed. Now it's thru blooming, and I've cut back the spike some weeks ago. It's coming out with what I think are healthy roots, but it's got these purpleish 'pimples' and weird marks on the leaves. Someone has reconfigured my computer set up, and I don't know if I can retrieve the pic I'd take of this. And of course, my phone battery just died and so I have only this one so far to send. I will take more of the 'pimples' and send them. Also, at the risk of being a huge pain in the xxxx, I'll send pics of my oncidiums psuedo bulbs-they look wrinkled to me.

One thing about phals that come from Walmart and similar places, is you should consider re-potting it as soon as it comes home or at least checking the roots. They all seem to have a very wet ball of moss up tight in the roots just below the crown. This is so wet and tight it usually never gets to dry out and causes root rot. You need to remove the plant from the pot and remove some of the outside media to check this out. I have never brought a phal home that wasn't like that. Even if they are in bloom, I gently slide them from the pot and dig in and remove a lot of the moss including the centre ball. Sometimes I put them back into their pot with half of the moss they were packed in. After blooming you can re-pot if you wish. If you wait till after they are done blooming, it may be too late. However the spots on your leaves are likely caused by something else.

if the spots are on the blue one then to me it would seem to still have blue dye in its system. they do tell you if they re bloom they will be white not blue. your root system could be pulling up dye from the media and re-pot indeed wont hurt. i dont kill phals anymore but they dont grow much for me either

I'm not sure that I understand your reference to the plant pulling up dye from the media. The "Blue" Phals are injected with dye directly into the inflorescense, they are not soaked in dye allowing the roots to absorb the color.
