I have heard good things about companion and root shield. Of course they are made to be used as a preventive as a posed to a "instant" fungicide. I have stopped using fungicides on my orchids and have started using beneficial fungi and bacteria every other week for now( just started two weeks ago). We'll see how well it works..... Air movement is huge part in preventive and recovery. Also as it starts to get colder at night you will have a much higher chance of getting rot. Try and make sure your roots are dry by bed time and/or have good air movement around your roots.
