hi everyone.
I've been verrry busy with my camera today!

So I noticed that the active root tips of my cattleya have been disappearing. There one day, next day gone. After doing some internet research I immediately suspected slugs! However, I've never seen slugs in my garden, and when I unpotted it today (after only potting it up about 3 weeks ago), there was nothing - no sign of slugs, no slime nothing.

BUT there were 2 tiny little geckos/lizards inside the pots and they're always there! I didn't think lizards ate roots. In fact, I didn't mind them there at all as I thought they would eat other insects and grubs. But now I'm starting to wonder if they are the culprits!

Look at the roots, they looked like they've been gnawed away by some creature. I hate using pesticides or other chemicals but I fear I must.

does anyone have any idea?

maybe.... was thinking that, but have never seen a mouse inside my house, outside my house, or even on my street. Plus, i feel like there would have been some other evidence of them. All I have are gnawed off tips... (wouldn't they have eaten more??) lol

I'm trying everything but nothing seems to work.

Anyone know if lizards eat orchid roots? they are the only living thing I see continuously in my orchid pot whenever I scour it for the culprit....
