Claire, given how much you hate leafhoppers...

You might want to know how they lay their eggs. I think you'd love to know that they deposit their eggs within the tissue of the leaves.

That's right inside, not on top of the leaf, not underneath it; inside it.

When the eggs are laid they leave a mark.

that makes me mad!!! and kinda grossed out but good info to know!!!!!! thanks Philip!!!!! i found some cocoon like thing on one of my plants pots that had been visited by the nymphs! i killed it quickly! it looked as if it was made out of the same fuzz they have on their backs!
