I have an orchid identical to that. I agree with what the others are saying. These plants don't have much roots to begin with, i woulden't worry to much. Good luck

I am Not an expert on these! I have only ever owned 2 (Miltoniopsis) - one died after a year and a half and one I was given as a gift 1&1/2 months ago. I believe they like "cooler" conditions . Mine are potted & I really hope an expert chips in here!
From what I have learned, I believe that they like to be moist but not wet & also need to dry out a bit.... I also believe that it is better to have the bottoms of the P/bulbs slightly off and not touching the medium.... so that you can spray the exposed area of the roots to avoid them drying out... (I believe this to be the same with Zygos - in my conditions ?)
As for after..... I look forward to having some expert views as this is a plant I know nothing about.. and hope to keep!

ps: I also have a miltonia spectabile mounted on driftwood. have had it 2 years and it has terbled in size.... no flowers for the moment this flowers this year.

In my posession 3 weeks going to a month; My plant has now got a yellowing leaf & it dosen't seem to be the oldest leaf. What could I be doing wrong? Roots are Ok for now, and am keeping it moist, and have not lost any blooms in fact 3 to open. Thanks in advance.
