My recent order from a well-known Florida vendor came with aphids on the Ascocentrum curvifolum's spikes. I did not notice them when the plant first arrived. But within a week when I checked back on the flower spikes to see why it had faded SO fast, I am horrified to find that the spikes and whole plant were covered with black aphids.
I can't spray water/soapy water to the plant due to fear of crown rot, so I used a Q-tip dipped in Rubbing alcohol and wiped down the whole entire plant, getting into EVERY nooks of the plant to make sure I got the suckers off!! I also repotted the

Definitely spray all your plants, I wouldn't mess about as they can be nasty if they start sucking on new young growths. They will make your new leaves distorted with yellow markings if you don't act quickly. Don't bother just blasting them with water, you want them dead!

Aphids!!!! any rose grower know those little suckers...got any hungry fish? they love live food.

Thanks everyone for their input. I nuked the plants and all aphids are gone. Ill follow up again in a couple of weeks and monitor them closely.
