Default Insecticides and crown rot

I realized this morn. that I have a problem with spidermites on a few of my phals. My question is: When I spray them with an insecticide, could the droplets that often form on the leaves from the spray then run down into the crown be a potential crown rot problem? Only 1 phal is mounted, the rest are potted.

I would appreciate your advice,
Vicki

Yes. I would have a paper towel handy and dry out the crowns after you are done spraying.

Spray early in the morning, so they have time to dry.

Fungi hate sunlight.

Thank you Eyebabe. I'm really paranoid about crown rot, so I'll surely have some paper towels nearby.
Thanks for your advice,
Vicki

I moved them inside from my greenhouse because I was afraid of the problem spreading, so I wonder if they would still dry with such a decrease in light. I'll still spray early in the morn., though.

Thanks for your reply and advice,
Vicki
