I realized this morn. that I have a problem with spidermites on a few of my phals. My question is: When I spray them with an insecticide, could the droplets that often form on the leaves from the spray then run down into the crown be a potential crown rot problem? Only 1 phal is mounted, the rest are potted.
while I have heard many people saying crown rot is a problem for them I have never had a issue with it and I spray mine heavy water gets in teh crown ect ...never had one rot.Does not mean that its not simply luck on my part but when I was into phals almost exclusively had 13 or 14 and not once was it a issue ....
What a great record, John. I wish I could be as brave.
Thanks for your reply,
Vicki

I moved them inside from my greenhouse because I was afraid of the problem spreading, so I wonder if they would still dry with such a decrease in light. I'll still spray early in the morn., though.
Thanks for your reply and advice,
