Same container, same diseases?
I recently purchased a phal noid from HD about 2 weeks ago. I didn't realize it until after I got home that there were actually 4 orchids that were stuffed inside a small container, so I winded up repotting it a few days later.
Fastforwarded, I found a brown soft mushy spot on the leaf of one of the phal's I already separated. From research and whatnot my best guess is that it would probably be Erwinia soft rot.
The question is that, how likely is it that the rest of the three phals I have also have the same infection? I cut off the infection and moved it further away from my other plants. Kept it in a cooler place with a bit more sunlight and air circulation, and dusted the cut with cinnamon.
However, I kept the pots relatively close together on the same shelf when this spot appeared. But considering it came from the same container a while back would this be a huge problem? Should I go run out today and hunt down a bottle of Physan?
Thanks
