I have found a common household pest when it comes to orchids, plants and well anything that moves really. I have just picked up two rescue NoIDs that were being tossed at work. I was cleaning the roots of one that has two spikes, one spike with a full spray of flowers and the other only had one flower left. i was sitting at the table cleaning the roots off with the spikes hanging over the edge so they didn't get mushed on the table. all of the sudden the flower all by itself exploded into a shower of petals....I was very confused, I looked at one cat...nope not him, then realized that one of the other ones had sprung out form under the table and taken out the flower and gone back to being nonchalant before the petals hit the ground.... right - forgot rule #1 don't wiggle it if you want to keep it. well the parts of the flower sure look neat on the floor...

I have a pest of the variety Cattus Gidgitus. No flowers are safe in my house! Therefore, all plants stay in the greenhouse no matter what. I just make many trips per day into the greenhouse to enjoy the flowers. Wish it was big enough to put a chair into.

Ohhh, my kitty is pretty well-trained when it comes to plants! My baby, however, is NOT! So, all my 'chids are spending their time on the balcony lately, and make it home only on the coldest nights.
