Do I have a Virus?
Default Do I have a Virus?

Hi All, I have a thriving Odm. orchid that is growing very nicely on my window sill. I noticed on the an a older set of leaves there are some discoloration. I had thoroughly cleaned them to make sure there aren't any mites. The new growths don't seem to show any discoloration and looks healthy. Can anyone confirm what I have?

Pity we haven't got a shot of the whole plant. But from your description, it sounds like a normal dying off of an old bulb as the new growth scavanges from the oldest leaves. For this reason, leave the old leaves to wither and die on their own if possible.

What I think too, out with the old in with the new if it was the whole plant then would be a cause for concern ..
