First Cymbidium- Virus?

Without testing you can never be sure, but I don't see anything that would make me concerned (but I'm not an expert either).

It's a gorgeous one Izzie. I recently broke for a NoID Cym as well (my avatar) and I'm so glad I did. I'm sure you'll love that one.

hehe - where I live, you enter most stores at your own risk this time of year - cyms everywhere! Costco is extremely brutal

I can go to garden centers. But I not the supermarket. All they have are dinner plate phals. A nice den that was white with pink edges that were ruffled almost followed me home. When I went on a neem oil expedition

So......not a single person on this forum sees anything strangely wrong with these flowers?

My feeling is that it isn't virus. I think if it was it would show through on the flowers as well. It could be just malnutrition. I don't think it's an old leaf as they age differently to that. I would think it's safe, just keep an eye on the leaves, you could always get it tested if you are really worried but I wouldn't worry at this point. If the leaves get worse post some photos.

I would be careful with a plant that size. I once bought a plant that looked great but had aphids in it. Within a week my plants were covered with aphids. I would isolate the orchid and spray it now and then again in a week. Then look it over carefully before putting it in my collection. It's a beautiful plant though and I agree that it's looks healthy to me. It doesn't look like it has any virus that I can see.

That is beautiful. We don't get a big variety of orchids in our grocery stores here. Just a Phals and more Phals. I am cool growing and love Cymbidiums. My NOID Cymb is currently growing 5 spikes. I can see why she followed you home. I think that I would have done the same.
