Hi everybody,
until today I have been really pleased how much bigger and fatter the new lead on my C nitida was, more than twice the size of last year's bulb, lovely and shiny and then this afternoon I ralized that the new growth split on the side! This has never happened to me before and I am a little concerned about it.
I have done some research and the most common answer to this is excessive rate of growth.......compared to the last year I have been giving my Coelogynes a bit more water and so far they have loved it...perhaps I was too enthusiastic with the watering.....I am gutted now.

Have any of you had an experience with this problem and how serious is it? I appreciate any tips. Thanks!
