Hello everyone,
What do you think this is?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Vicki

(By the way, my multicolored piggy bank/aka photo ham wanted to be sure and get in the pic, too. Please overlook him )

You might want to get a virus test kit for this plant.

Looks like it could be virus. A test is in order.

They said it. I hope it's been isolated.

I'm sorry that I haven't replied to each of you before now, but I've been under the weather and had a series of med. tests yesterday. I feel fine today, so on with my leaf issue.

I plan to buy one or send a leaf sample off as soon as I learn where/how to do this. I've never had an orchid analyzed for a virus before, so I am clueless as to how to do this.
Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your reply, King. I definitely plan to take your advice and have it tested.

Yes, I have it here in the house with me...but unfortunately, it's been out in my greenhouse most of the summer with the rest of my collection.
Thank you for your input and concern.
....................

It was sunburned earlier in the summer (totally my fault, of course) after I rec'd it in pristine condition from a reputable nursery/vendor here online...then it developed another issue (bacterial infection ??) and now this. Geez, my orchid looks pitiful. It looks worse than it did 2 days ago. Here are more pictures that I snapped this morn.

Thanks again, everyone...
Vicki

That looks like it might be Mosaic virus. Picture on page 96 of Understanding Orchids by William Cullina.

Hi,
Yes, I agree...it does look like the picture, but I think it also looks like pictures I've seen of ORSV. I didn't find a picture of that one in the book, though. (By the way, I love that book). I don't know the 1st thing about orchid viruses, except what I've read lately and pictures I've seen, so I'm sure you know a lot more about it than I do. I've already sent a sample to Critter Creek, so I understand they should let me know in about 5 days. I hope I can tell you then that it's not virused at all.
Thanks for replying,
Vicki
