I hope you guys can help me save my gorgeous Ansellia africana. I was away for 6 weeks and bf was left with the orchid watering. He stuck to the once-a-week watering and didn't notice that the Ansellia africana had started rotting. When I got back a new growth of about 5 cm was totally brown and soft (I removed it). The 2nd new growth was green but now is also brown at the base and turning yellow. A few of the older canes are also going soft and dark
What should I do? Should I cut the soft canes? It's not specifically any row of canes that are soft so I can't just cut a section. I would have to totally separate all the canes into individuals (which I imagine would weaken it quite a bit).
Odd thing is that the roots don't look too bad. They're a bit worse than when I left but there are definitely lots of functional roots in there. I haven't watered it once in the week that I've been back and the bottom of the medium is still humid
It was repotted about 7 weeks ago and I kept it in rock medium.
