Sick Cattleya Flowers (Brown marks)
Default Sick Cattleya Flowers (Brown marks)

Hi all

After think I had grown this cattleya properly, the flowers were a disaster. Not sure if i accidently got water on them or the plant has a fungal disease etc.

Any comments?

Cheers

John

On the first pci it's possible to see that the browns spots are also on the leave of the plant!

This plant has a very strong infection... Fungi or bacteria or virus? I do not know.. But ifit is a this stage that all leave and flowers are so severely affected, I think the only option you have is to burn the whole plant! or you risk to have all other plants infected!

sorry for giving the bad news...

Wow..thanks for that.

Pretty drastic but worse still if other plants get infected.

Not worth the risk.

Cheers

i would put it in a plastic bag and toss it.....burning it could spread the infection thru the smoke.....gl with your other plants
