Yup, I bet that's true.
I just do the brown because the store brand of it can be cheaper, and it makes me feel better to use something with less additives.

Note- I have seen somewhere that if organic media is baked (or boiled) for more than a certain time, toxins develop. I'll see if I can find the article.
