Need advice with crown rot Male
Default Need advice with crown rot

First I would like to know if this is a localized bacterial/fungal infection or a typical crown rot?

I have never mist the plant because its flowering and growing indoor. HUmidity is between 50-70%, and temperature aroung 20-25 degree celcius. This condition should not be induce crown rot or any bacterial infection. I have sprayed with 75% alcohol lightly to slow down bacterial growth and will buy some cinammon poweder and apply some this evening. Please advice. Thanks.

I see dry roots but no crown rot. (I wonder about the colors on my monitor sometimes).

I have a clearer photo of the rot (first pic) and did some minor surgical procedure to remove the black rot tissue. Peroxide is not available so I used alcohol to disinfect and cover the wound and remaining rot that i can't remove (second pic). Would hate to lose this expensive and beautiful phal.

I see it now. It's not crown rot, it looks like maybe a little water got between the leaves and rotted some tissue. Your surgery looks good.
