Default Mold growing inside pot!!

Thank goodness for clear pots, So whats the best way to deal with this, other than completely changing over the pot, is there something else I can do?

There growing in fine grade fir bark, most of it seems to be the side facing its sun light source, which makes me wonder if it also might be just algae.

Looks like algae to me too. I'm told it's common when growing in clear plastic and not harmful to the orchid. If you're concerned you could always water the orchid with a bit of physan 20 (which is used, among other things, as an anti algae agent).

How odd!! for algae to grow in there, does it mean I am keeping my plants to wet?

And here I was saying how good it was to have clear pots, and that was the cause of the probleam. maybe its time to put the clear pots inside clay pots.

Looks like algae. I don't think it causes any harm to the plant, and quite a few of my phals have a little bit in their pot. If you put them into clay pots, you are completely defeating the purpose of the clear pots!

Algae grows in areas that are consistently moist.

It doesn't matter if it's an aquatic environment or if it's a moist patch of soil, it'll grow where ever they make their way to.

I have all my orchids in plastic pots, but put inside a decorative pot. I find that all that brown colour is boring, so i have mainly white and a few pastel coloured pots to go with the colour scheme in my room.

You can simply pick the plastic pot up and check the roots when ever you feel like it. I wouldn't say it completely defeats the point of clear pots...?
