Default Leaf spot remedies?

I grow mostly soft-leaved orchids, so this disease is a problem for me. The spots come out almost overnight, and just mar the appearance of the plant.

The zygopetalinae are prone to spotting, so I know that, to an extent, some spotting is inevitable and normal. But there are spots that are raising red flags for me. Some of them start out as black spots, but then I notice a yellow halo or ring that develops around the said spots. After a few days, the infected leaves yellow and die. Thing is, the plants are perfectly healthy otherwise. They have good root systems, and the unaffected areas are lush and green. I've tried cutting off the infected leaves, but when I do, another leaf starts to spot. Go figure.

Anyone have any natural remedies for spotting? I want to try environmentally-friendly methods before I move to hardcore fungicides.

If you post pictures people might be able to tell you if it's fungal/bacterial and what to do.

Problem is, I can't. I just got a new cam phone, but I don't have the USB connector to upload the pics to my computer. All I can do for the moment is assume it's both and try both types of remedy. Right now, I'm cutting off the affected areas and sprinkling cinnamon on the wounds. But I can only cut for so long, and my poor plants are starting to look mangled.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

In these cases, the ring around the edge of the spot is translucent. The following day, the spot grows to the size of that ring, and it just keeps enlarging.

Hi kasper, I think that you are right on this and I really thing that this could be Bacterial Brown Spot, though I'm no expert but I love orchids and have seen a couple of such cases, which led to believe that this could be the work of a bacteria.

No, none that I can detect. I can smell the potting medium when I wet it, but that's about it.
