Default one leaf on my palaenopsis is soft and smooshy

is this bad? do i need to cut it off? it is spreading on the leaf. the whole leaf is almost limp now. will my plant be ok? if i need to remove it what is the best way?

plz advise!

Check the roots.

Please post pics. There may be a lot of things going on you may not be aware of that other members can spot right away. A lot can be said from pics versus verbally describing things (or typing a description in this case).

soft and smooshy sounds like cell collapse for some reason....find the reason, most likely in the roots or with crown rot....please post some pictures! gl!

"soft and smooshy" is never good. I would try to remove it before it spreads into other healthy parts.

i usually just cut it out.. and if im not lazy ill spray with fungicide.. thats all..
