Default Snow Mold?

I seem to have this problem every time I water - which boils down to 1 or 2 times a week. The blooms on my phals start to droop, and when I check the roots I find this white fuzz on them. My searches here on OB have led me to believe this is "snow mold." The mixture they are in is brand new and not decomposing. Typically a good spray with fungicide to the roots clears up the mold, but it keeps coming back. I just cleaned them all with fungicide so I don't currently have photos.

My phals are all potted in a coarse bark mix ("Better Gro") in the smallest plastic pots I could find for their roots. They rest on trays of stones which I keep water in, and I usually have a humidifier running. I always wait an extra day after they begin to dry out before giving them a little water and fertilizer. I don't over-pack the pots with bark so they can get air circulating. One of my phals is barely holding on after the last bout of this mold. So what am I doing wrong?

It's not snow mold. Snow mold is a fungus that damages turf grass. It appears in the late winter or spring as the snow melts, hence it's name.

Snow Molds

Cheers.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what this stuff is that is forming all over the roots and killing my phals?

I'll bet king of orchid growing would have an answer. It's not snow mold. DelawareJim has that correct.
