lycaonpictus is right on the money, DE works great on both snails and slugs. Now if that is not your speed, then may I recommend granular bait for your snail control problem

For the past week now I have been searching my plants/pots for bush snails and treating any pots where I find snails with a 2% solution of caffeine. I saturate the pot with the caffeine solution. Any visible snails are killed quickly on contact with the caffeine solution and from subsequent inspections it seems that the snails are all being eliminated. I have not seen any damage to the plants that I have been treating this way.
Actually the caffeine solution that I have been using has been between 1.6% and 2%. I started with putting 10 grams of caffeine in 500 ml of water in a spray bottle but not quite all of the caffeine dissolved so on subsequent days I have been using 8 grams of caffeine in 500 ml of water.

The 1.5% caffeine solution does a good job of killing bush snails but it appears to also cause significant damage to growing root tips so I have stopped using it.
I am now experimenting SA-20 (same as Physan-20) at 1 ml per liter (200 ppm AI). These substances have been shown to be effective for killing aquatic snails. The 200 ppm solution does seem to kill the visible bush snails on contact.
