Yellow leaves on Phal -- Kikis in danger
Question Yellow leaves on Phal -- Kikis in danger

Leaves are yellowing on beautiful Phal with 3 kikis -- we just had a cold snap. HOw do I save the Phal -- or kikis?

we have to have way more info than that....

what is it potted in ....how yellow are the leaves...

Just how cold did it get?

It is potted in bark in metal pot on stones. Leaves are just starting to yellow. It got down to 30s (Florida) -- I moved the plants away from the window. Keikis seem fine, but leaves on the big plant are really going fast. Another plant has gone gone.

Yellowing is usually one of several things- underwatering, overwatering, cold damage, root death, things like that. I get lots of cold damage here in chicago, but my leaves have never turned yellow - the spots usually turn brown; it looks like burn marks. It would be great to see some pictures and maybe then we'll advise you to unpot it and see what is going on under the media...

Hi there, fellow Floridian.
I too, had that same problem, from back in December when we froze our butts off down here, and so did our chids.
Here's my pics, and thread of info it, if it helps you out. good luck!

But they aren't 'diseased', they just got COLD
I have some Phals with no leaves at all. Just a few roots.
