root fungus?
Default root fungus?

my plant is in full bloom however i recently noticed white mold or fungus on the roots and on the top of the growing medium. If I transplant now while it is in full bloom will it shock and kill the plant? If I wait till after blooming to transplant will the fungus kill the plant? help!

Repot and clean fungus off now.

Forget about the flowers.

You want the plant or the flowers?

Plant grows new flowers.

Flowers won't grow new plant unless the plant's still alive and got enough energy to make fruit and seeds.

Fruits on a Phal ripen at around 1 yr give or take 3 months depending on what you've got.

Seeds are difficult to sow unless you've got experience with micropropagation. And the seeds are short lived, so they don't store for very long.

Given what I told you, I think the choice is simple.

To add to what's been said, in my personal experience repotting a blooming orchid doesn't seem to affect the blooms at all. The only danger is snapping spikes and buds during the repotting process, I seem to be quite good at that!
