Leaves Look shriveled

Hello all, I have a question about my Phals. They are blooming well, and so pretty my concern is the leaves thay seem to be limp and shriveled . i keep them watered well and not to often at least once a week. i was wandering if it was due to so many flowers they have been in bloom for a while they started in Jan and there are many buds to open yet. i have several more looking the same way. This is a complicated issue. I would bet you've been keeping it too wet and have rotted the roots. I also see indications of sunburn.

I'd guess sunburn and overwatering too. If these were my plants, I'd be carefully repotting about now. Better to sacrifice the flowers than lose the plant(s).

Phal spikes can be cut and kept for several weeks in a vase or water tube (well away from direct sun) out of direct . Cut spike just above the first node from base of plant (usually about 1.5" from base). Place in vase or water tube so that bottom-most inch or two of the inflorescence is in water. Every two-three days, clean vase or water tube, cut 1/2" - 3/4" from bottom of inflorescence and replace in fresh water.

I'll third the prognosis - my guess root rot. If you have been watering the same for a long time and just now starting to notice this problem, maybe the media has broken down and is now holding much more water than it used to, hence you need to water less and/or get it into fresh media. Assuming it does have root issues it would benefit from having all the diseased roots removed/cleaned up as well. Even with the flowers you could repot anytime. If the roots are in really bad shape removing the flower spike would allow the plant to put its energy into rebuilding its root system instead of supporting flowering (as was already noted).
