Hi everybody!
I need some advice on what to do about what appears to be a fungus problem on a couple of 'chids that I've only had for a couple months.
I bought myself a
Masd. cyctotega and
Porroglossum teaguei in late June with lots of black spots on the leaves which at the time I thought were sunburn. Long story short, the "sunburn" started popping up all over the place and the leaves on which it appeared would eventually dry up and fall off. The spots start yellow, then expand and turn black in the center with a little fuzzy stuff later on. The damage goes all the way through the leaf. Figuring it was a fungal problem, I removed all the affected leaves in the hope that that would solve the problem (I also sprayed some rubbing alcohol onto the porroglossum afterwards), and that didn't leave many leaves I can tell you; that was about a week ago. I thought I'd seen the last of it until a couple days ago when I noticed spots again starting on both plants. Just today I dusted them both with powdered cinnamon as I've heard of it being used as a fungicide, and isolated them from the rest of my collection.
Anyone got any advice for me? Does this even sound like fungus? Any help at all is much appreciated.
The brown powder on the leaf in the last picture is cinnamon I put on the plants.
