The calcium and mag doesn't go to the mealies.

It goes to the Paph.

The insect in the pic is a mealy.

So just to be clear the best way to solve a mealybug infestation is to use neem oil and to make sure I spray the entire plant.

I'll also get some limestone so my malipoense is a happier healthy plant.

Thanks everyone. I'll go to OSH on the way home from work.

Aw shucks, and here I thought the newest and simplest way to blast the mealy is to feed it some Tums and Milk of Magnesia.

In all seriousness, goodluck with the mealybug eradication project.
