Default Suspicious spotting on my Sedirea

My poor little Sedirea japonica 'minimaru' has yet another problem. This is one of the OB project plant, and the one that had the bad mealie infestation in the fall, and who nearly died from excessive use of rubbing alcohol on the roots. It made a nice recovery, BUT it's come up with a new problem.
After studying plant science for 5 years, I know what virus symptoms look like, and this sadly looks like it. Unless it could be something else? One leaf is severely affected, all the others have only a few spots.

It's living quarantined under a bottle (which was to help with humidity originally) and I'd hate to toss it since there is nowhere in EU where I can get a new one.

Camille;

Keep it isolated for a while yet and watch the new growth. You might get lucky and the older leaves will just be showing the signs of tissue damage from the mealies. Otherwise, yes it looks like a virus.

Cheers.

I think I'm going to buy a virus test for it. I really don't want to have to trash it 'just in case'. I can't find this one in EU, and Glenn at NWO doesn't have any in stock to bring to the UK show this summer. But if it turns up positive.... Off to the trash. I might try at my university's labs to culture the meristem, and regenerate healthy plants from that, as a fun project.

In that case I want to sign up for a seedling if that is possible. I'm patient LOL
