Question Cold makes leaves limp, leathery...

Hey there everyone!

I have my Phalaenopsis sitting on a window ledge and last night the window got left open. We just had a massive cold front come through and the temperature got down to -10 degrees. This morning I found my orchid with some problems, I'm sure caused by the cold. The leaves have all gone limp and they have a leathery texture to them. They're also a bit wrinkled and dark in color. If I take the orchid away from the cold, will it heal and go back to normal, or might there be some permanent damage here? Thank you.

First of all, welcome to the board! Why not post something about yourself in the Introductions section?

Now on to that poor Phal. By now, an hour later, you've probably discovered the problem - you froze the Phal to death! You could keep it around as all the drop of (yuk) but I doubt it will pull through. They don't like cold temps at all. If you plan to leave the window open during day (even a crack) then you need to move all your plants.

How are the roots? I've recently come across a post where a Phal gave off a root keiki when its crown died. Don't give up hope till its all dust, or mush.
