Hello, A co-worker of mine has a Phal that he says the 'stalk' - crown is turning WHITE. I asked if it was kinda yellowing. He said no Yellow, only White. I asked if it could be scraped off? He said no, it's the plant itself that is white.
Does anyone know what this is??
Or what to do about it??
That is interesting. Only a few days ago someone on a German forum posted pictures from a Phalaenopsis that grew a *white* leaf. It as the last leaf the grew and it was totally white.
She has a sibling from this plant which grew a normal green leaf. If I remember well she imported the plant last august.
I would love to see a picture of the white growth.

Wow, pretty cool thread Blueszz.
I'll ask him to take a pic, if he can. His chid might be 'done'. I don't know if he kept it, or threw away
I'll find out in the morning.
