Default Scales in the mail via ebay

A question for all you more experienced ebayers:

How should I respond if I receive a plant via auction that has a scale infestation? Is this normal? I have only once before received an obviously scale infested plant via other ebay sellers or online retailers. My question is: this is something that's worth complaining about to the seller?

Thanks for any help on this one!

Yes tell them about it take a picture a close up and one with the plant and packing material in a photo send to them there is no excuse for sending a visual buggy plant .. They should make it right, either a refund or a bug free plant if they don't then I would file a complaint, if it was paid for with a credit card you can have the charge removed by calling the cc company .. I agree with Gin

Contact them, give them a chance to make it right...and if that doesn't work then proceed with the next step.

No vendor should allow a pest-ridden plant to be shipped to begin with but "stuff" happens.

I am very sorry, from the looks of it I think it has had the scale for quite awhile . Gin
