They probably wouldn't be much of a problem under normal conditions, but I'm guessing most of the natural predators in that area have been wiped out or chased off. So now we have to handle things ourselves, and cause a big fuss.

This brings back memories of the WD-40 and lighter method used when I was younger to rid the yard or wasps and bees nests. Its the official boy scout method.
