Little black bug in my Sphag.........

Hey All,
I just found a little black bug that is short and round. Almost looks like a small beetle that has white dots on its back. I notice it in one of my Phals and after checking the rest of my potted plants they are everywhere. I will take a picture in the morning but I just wanted to see if there was a no brainer answer. I searched the fourm and found nothing that looks like it. As far as google, a red spotted spider mite was the closest in comparison. I have had some yellowing showing up in some of my leaves. Couldn't find any of them on my mounted orchids. I spayed some Safer insecticidal soap and it killed them quick. Thanks for any help I can get.
