Default Darwinara Charm 'Blue Star'

Help!!! And hurry! I received this orchid in the last week of January. It arrived with 3 fans and very healthy roots that extended 2 feet below the plant! A month and a half later, the roots have shriveled down to just 2 somewhat healthy roots and one fan. It gets pure rainwater twice a week and gets misted in the morning daily. It receives slightly less light than my catts. There are no visible bugs or rot to be seen or smelled. My Neofinetia is having the same problem, yet my Ascoscenda is thriving with very healthy roots. Any ideas?

Well my thought is that your Darwinara Charm has Neofinetia in it's back ground. And you stated that your Neofinetia is having the same problem. Neo's really like cooler temps, nothing above 80 from what the experts on here have told me. If you are treating your neo the same as your Darwinara, then I would fertilize less. No fertilizer during the winter and 1/4 strength fertilizer every three weeks during the growth season. I would also try lowering the light maybe, but that is just me. I haven't actually rebloomed anything yet so hopefully the more experienced neo growers will have some input sooner! I was also told that if I can't provide cooler temps that a little more watering may be required. I found a link that might be able to help some....keep us posted!
