Is this safe to use on orchids? i have an odd bug i need to kill
looking closely at my orchids i noticed in the medium.. fir bark and others a small tanish bug looks almost like a spider mite but no webs and it moves fairly fast .. it doesnot go onto the top of the plant at all but stays in the medium.. not knowing what it is and not wanting to take a chance.. i would like to see if what i have as a bug killer will be safe for the chids..
its orthomax lawn and garden insect killer.. liquid concentrate its active ingredient is bifenthrin
has anyone used this.? what i want to do is make up the solution.. and literally flood the medium with the stuff to get all nooks and crannies.. ill have it in a bucket and do each chid one at a time..
I've never heard of that being used on orchids. Not to say that it can't be used....
I use Bayer Rose and Flower bug spray, I also use a 50% to 50% mixture of Formula 409 and rubbing alchol in a spray bottle - this works really well on mealies and scale. Hope this helps
