I agree, Nichole - as a last resort go with a link to the thread. Like you said in another thread - we all know if a vendor is reputable or not by coming here. With over 8,000 membors, this board is not a place to get a bad name. You do deserve a refund.

If you paid using a credit card or paypal you might have recourse with them if the vendor doesn't offer a refund.

Default Good News

I did get a refund for the purchase price. The vendor claimed that no other orchid they have has ever shown such symptoms, but would refund the price since I claimed it happened shortly after arrival. I felt like they were basically saying "fine, we'll give you the money, but it's not our fault." Maybe I'm being too sensitive, but I just felt they're emails were a bit condescending. But I've got my money, so I'll be happy

As for the plant. Yikes, it is still looking pretty rough. I'm not sure that it's going to make it, but I can't just throw a plant out that's not dead yet. It's clear that the problem was bacterial. It has not affected the 1 cane left... yet. The leaves have some yellowing, but there are signs that it may be trying to put up a new cane. So maybe I'll give it a shot. Even then, the plant I bought (and have now been refunded for) was a blooming size plant... and if it does recover, I don't imagine it'll be blooming in the next year, or even two. What do you think?
