Question Use of Funginex on Phalaenopsis

Hi,

I recently joined the Orchid Board and received good advice about using a Fungicide on some Phals that developed spots.

Now I need to know how often I should treat, and if the spots will simply stop spreading or if they should disappear.

Per the advice provided, I used Ortho "RosePride" (formerly called Funginex) that has Triforine as the active ingredient.

I really appreciate this resource!!!

Thanks
Gloria

Hi Ray,

Thanks for responding so fast. The packages says "every 7-10 days if the problem persists". I wasn't sure I should use the same schedule for Phals. Thanks

I go with the label unless I see damage, then I discontinue it altogether.

It is not a good idea to try using an pesticide at some reduced concentration or frequency, and that is how one tends to breed resistant strains of stuff.
