Default Hmm, Phal with Not one leaf, but has Spike, Buds?

I have a Phal with Not one leaf left on it. Either they fell off, or I had to cut them off too. Now I cut the last one off, as it was really sickly.

How in the world can it keep on producing this Spike, with the shape that mother is in??

Most plants when dying will try to reproduce and thus one often gets flower spikes from a severly stressed or dying plant.

It's a shame it's in such bad shape! Is this one of the victims of when you had a bunch of phals that had their leaves go all yellow?
Hopefully the spike will through out a keiki, or since the roots are healthy looking, maybe you'll get a basal keiki

So how did that situation turn out? Did you lose many plants, or is this one the only one is really bad shape?

They're all fine, but this one. It only had 2 leafs to begin with, and I cut the last one off last week I think due to pure Yellow.
