They all hid from me for a couple of weeks. I thought for sure they had crawled off somewhere and died. Go out after dark (when it's really dark - not just at sunset - and look around with a flashlight. They like to sit on top of things - plant leaves, shelves, pots, etc., or hang on the sides of things. Lizards, on the other hand, will be underneath, inside, or anywhere. The frogs usually stay at least waist high or higher too and like warmer areas (that's why mine like to sleep in the electrical boxes). I find mine hanging out on the power cords too. The tree frogs move pretty slowly too and don't make noise - as opposed to the lizards which are lightening fast and don't mind knocking over pots, rocks, or each other to get to a cricket.
Get a few small, live crickets from the pet store and put some in an orchid pot after dark so the frog can find them then sit back and watch for it. They don't really like the light so don't keep the flashlight on all the time.
Good luck - they are sneaky (but oh, so cute)
